                         Current Event
                                                           January 15, 2015

Recently, 13-year-old girl and her 18-year-old boyfriend are wanted by the police in Kentucky. Cheyenne Phillips and her boyfriend Dalton Hayes, robbed 2 trucks before running away on January 4 after being confronted about the couples' underage-relationship. Dalton's mother claims Cheyeene led her to think she was 19, not 13.  The couple has been missing for 11 days and are being accused of stealing.

I honestly believe that this is very wrong starting with Cheyenne. She shouldn't have lied to anyone about her age. In addition, I assume Dalton knew her age because it isn't that hard to find out the background of your partner. I don't think it is right that an adult ran away with an underage girl because you do not know what Dalton is capable of when they are alone together.

                 Student Success Statement
                              January 15, 2015

“Every time I've done something that

doesn't feel right,

it has ended up not being right.“

Mario Cuomo

Reflection:
I agree with this quote because when I was younger and didn't do the right things all the time, I wouldn't be sure if to make the right or wrong decision and so it did wend up being wrong. I think this situation happens with everyone that does not know how hard consequences can end up being. I find this quote very inspiring and I wish more people can read it so it can have a positive impact to them as it was to me.
