              Student Success Statement
                                                            April 29, 2015

" In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the                                             right thing."

                               Theodore Roosevelt

Reflection; I agree with this quote and I think everyone should remember it before they make a decision. An example to this quote would be you and your friend are doing your homework together. Your friend finishes all of their homework but you do not understand it. They try to explain it to you, but you do not understand. It is time for your friend to go home and they forget their homework at your house. You have 2 options on how to respond to the situation. The first option is you get the homework and deliver it to their house immediately , or you copy all of their answers and return it to them the following day. The right thing to do is take your friend their homework immediately without hesitating.
                       Life Planning Progress Report
                                                            April 29, 2015

I have 350 goals written down in my life planning journal. I have achieved 122 goals out of the 350 I have. The goal that I got super astonished and joyful about was when I achieved getting straight A's in my progress report. Another goal I really enjoyed achieving was when I passed my biology test. The goal I am looking forward to achieve is passing all of my classes this semester. Another goal I am hoping to reach is joining a soccer team. By the end of the year, I hope I have at least 1,000 goals! I hope I get to accomplish all the things I have planned to do and reach. Some of these goals might take a while to reach. One of my goals that I hope I reach when I am older is take my family on a family vacation. Another one is to buy my dream car, a cadillac cts v coupe. I hope I can achieve all my goals.

            The Most Successful Doctor

                                                              April 27, 2015

Mr. Bob was 37- years- old when a peculiar yet wonderful idea occurred to him. Mr. Bob was lived in Albany, New York when his idea started.  He wanted to change peoples lives and make them better. His dream was to help others without asking them for anything in return. Bob studied medicine and became a doctor. When he finished his schooling, he rented a store and used it as a hospital. Doctor Bob was different from other doctors. In his office you didn't have to worry about insurance policy coverage. Doctor Bob did not charge a penny, although he would accept donations. His dream became true, he helped people who were in desperate needs and going through difficult times in life. If you didn't have money for your daughter's birthday, you didn't have to worry because doctor Bob would try his best to help. If you needed money for a medicine that you couldn't afford, there was no need to panic because there was hope that Doctor Bob would help. Mr. Bob wasn't just a doctor, he was a friend.
Mr. Bob really inspired me to help others without expecting something in return because he opened up a hospital and didn't charge anyone for his services. I really liked this story and I want to become someone like Bob.

"Make each day your masterpiece. You have to apply yourself each day to become a little better, and over a period of time, you become a lot better."

                           John Wooden

Reflection: I agree with this quote because it reminds me of another quote which is, "Practice makes perfect." However, this quote is more straight forward because it says you become a lot better, unlike the other quote that talks about becoming perfect. I like this quote because it encourages me to try harder and never give up at something I want. Another reason why I like this quote is because it inspires me to become more determined and dedicated to achieve what I desire to reach.

I would not like to be a medical corps officer because I would have to travel to other countries.

Western Oregon vs. Central Washington Softball Game- A                                    Heart-Touching Experience

                                                                       April 23, 2015

Sara was a senior and a player in a softball team called Western Oregon. Throughout the time as a softball player, she had never succeeded  in accomplishing a home run. The last opportunity she had to accomplish her goal was the day her team played versus Central Washington. It was Sara's turn to hit The ball was thrown, she swung her bat, and the ball flew over the fence. Sara ran as fast as she could to complete the home run. However, while she was running she missed a base, and when she was running back to touch it, she injured her knee. Sara's team mates could not help her complete the home run. That is when opponent players, Liz and Mallory show up. They carried Sara to all the bases and helped her complete her home run. The crowd was screaming cheerfully with tears running down their face. With some help, Sara was able to achieve her goal.

"It is a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time."

                                       Pam Knox

Reflection: I agree with this quote because I have experienced a few situations in which something similar tot this quote occurs. On the day before I became a 9th grader at Linda Marquez, students had to come to school to meet each other and participate in several activities. One of the first activities required volunteers. No one got up to volunteer and the teachers looked impatient and worried. However, I decided to be courageous and I got up and became the first volunteer. The teachers looked relieved and joyous because it seems as if I inspired others to volunteer as well. I was very proud that I stepped up despite that I was nervous.

"  A Promise Must Never Be Broken."

                                                      Alexander Hamilton

Reflection: This quote is very famous and I am glad it is because I believe people must  know that breaking promises is very unfortunate and discomforting. I believe that when you promise something it means that you are willing to face anything to keep that vow meaningful. In addition, I also believe that this quote is very good because it clearly states the meaning of its significance. I also wish that more people would live by this quote.

I think this is a good job but I am looking for a job that is more daring and challenging.

Reflection: I have set up my future for myself and I am determined that I will get it. For example, I see myself as a firefighter and I am finding out information about training programs and requirements in order to achieve my dream. "It is our duty to concentrate all of our influence to make popular that which is sound and good and unpopular that which is unsound."

                                                      Joseph Smith

Reflection: I agree with the quote in many ways. I also believe that we should speak more about what is correct because the more you talk about something you begin to like it and that way you are positively influenced. Another thing I like about this quote is it gets straight to the point, it does not keep you waiting to know what it means. I also believe that good things like religion and kindness should be spoken more about.
