The History of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was first celebrated when a group of pilgrims in the year of 1621 started a tradition of giving thanks because they were so delighted due to the fact that they had survived their first harsh winter and have created a successful harvest with the help of Native Americans. From then, others began celebrating for the same cause and in 1863 President Lincoln named Thanksgiving an annual celebration.
